Traci Humphrey

Traci is a bivocational church planter.

After completing her MBA at Corban University, Traci Humphrey joined PTS as a part-time student in the MTS-PT program in January 2014. Her husband, Phillip, was well into his MADCF at PTS and it was his formation, education, and relationship with professors that caused Traci to want to take on another masters degree. Throughout her time at PTS, Traci worked full-time as the manager of multiple restaurants at the neighboring Lee University. Starting in Fall 2015, Traci became a full-time student while also welcoming their second child, Link Wesley (3). It was during their time as students at Lee University that they had their first daughter, Adelaide Devorah (10). In Traci’s final semester at PTS, they welcomed Talitha Cara (10 months) into the family.

Throughout her four years at PTS, Traci felt her calling in ministry evolve and shift towards pastoral ministry. Through the mentorship of professors/pastors Jackie and Cheryl Johns and the ministry of New Covenant CoG, Traci was able to live out the theological training she was receiving at PTS. As an ordained minister in the Church of God, Traci and her family are following the call of God to church plant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Traci reflects on where she is now, “The glory of obedience has faded, as the hard task of faith has been given to us. Yet, as professors, mentors, friends — truly our sisters and brothers in Christ — have walked with us, we have learned to trust the voice of God speaking to us and being confirmed in those around us. The theological training I received at PTS gave me a deeply formational understanding of the Triune God that I can lean into as I pursue God’s call on my life.”
