Professors John Christopher Thomas and Lee Roy Martin were in Romania representing PTS from May 10 to 16. They preached in three different churches; they lectured at the Pentecostal Theological Institute of Bucharest (our Church of God college and seminary); and they presented papers at the Institute’s conference on Bible translation. Professor Martin’s paper was entitled, “Challenges to Translating the Old Testament: With Special Reference to the Book of Psalms,” and Professor Thomas presented the following: “The Relationship between New Testament Textual Criticism, Translation, and Theological Interpretation.” According to the organizers of the conference, it was “the best in living memory.” Drs. Martin and Thomas would like to express their appreciation to the administration, faculty, and students of ITPB for their lavish hospitality.
