INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES

Student’s Responsibilities:


1.Work under the direction of your supervisor.

2.Make weekly process notes for discussion with your supervisor.

3.Meet the supervisor once a week and present him with a copy of the weekly process notes.

4.Mail a monthly internship evaluation to the Director of Ministerial Development.

5.Make a final evaluation of the Internship Program and send it to the Director of Ministerial Development.

6.Communicate any concerns about the progress of your internship to the Office of Ministerial Development.

Supervisor’s Responsibilities:

1.Inform the Director of Ministerial Development of any special needs you have in order to receive an intern.

2.Work with the intern in providing a practical and meaningful experience in ministry.

3.Help the intern make any moving, housing or financial arrangements as necessary.

4.Meet with the intern weekly for discussion of her/his process notes and overall progress.

5.Provide the intern with practical experience in areas such as teaching, preaching, pastoral care, and other related ministries.

6.Make monthly evaluations on the activities of the intern and send a copy to the Director of Ministerial Development.

7.Make a final evaluation of the intern and send it to the Director of Ministerial Development.

8.Communicate any questions, concerns or needs to the Director of Ministerial Development at the Church of God Theological Seminary.

9.      Participate in orientation/training opportunities for supervisors as provided.
